My problem with the screwdriver is that the finish is so slick that it slides in my hand. quick fix is i used some 80 grit sandpaper to rough it up alittle. ^M

as for the knife no problems there other then it is heavier then the blue sheffield knife i already had so i will be carrying around the blue one and leave this in my truck.

Good tools, but lousy finish and packaging
This is a well-made, well-designed set of tools, but someone decided to finish both the brass and wood with wood clearcoat. As a result, the clearcoat was peeling off the brass and I had to buff it off. Second, they stripped one of the screws holding the belt clip, so they attempted to use a larger screw but without tapping the hole. The screw went only halfway into the hole, but the threads on both were stripped smooth. Lastly, there was minimal bubble wrap inside the product package, so they rattled against each other during shipping. There were quite a few knicks on the brass parts of screwdriver handle and on the sides of the knife. A lot of buffing and polishing was required to bring them to presentation quality since this was meant to be a gift.^M

There is a design error in the knife. The blade release is too close to the stud used to unfold the blade, so if you attempt to open it with your thumb, the blade release often uncatches as well and you have to relatch it. The tab for the blade release should've been placed on the opposite side, and/or shortened.^M

However, for a free gift, this set is still a great value. A lot of work was put into creating them, and it had to be shipped from China as well. Both pieces are very hefty and have that comforting, solid feel. They're a little too pretty to toss in the toolbox though. I might make a felt-lined hardwood presentation box for them.^M
